Haiku tribute to recent weather

Freezing rain falls hard:
Walking in a straightening wind
I struggle not to.

Sun clamors for its
rightful sky, then vanquishes
captive rebel frost.

Circulating hues
tempo cautious, long for heat
to cinch their sparkle.
