I threw an old catnip-stuffed toy named Yucky Ducky to Paladin, and he quickly grabbed and claimed the toy. YD is an inheritance from Effie’s predecessor Coolidge. We are encouraged with Paladin’s growing interest in toys as a sign of waning ferality and increasing domesticity.
Im so happy he has settled down so well in his forever home. And to see him with his own toy…who would have thought. Bless you all.

Thank you, Chris. We’re still dealing with gaps in his perception of “home,” but we’re all making progress. Effie especially has been very patient with some of his frustrating behaviors–eating her food instead of his own, using her litterbox instead his own. . . .

I think he is, Greg. He seems to enjoy our home and its people, food, enclosed yard (Effieland), and toys. It seems like a lock!
