“Oh, do not ask, ‘What is it?’
Let us go and make our visit.”
–T. S. Eliot, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
I find Effie’s look a fit tribute to T.S. Eliot, author of “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats,” the greatest collection of cat poetry of all time. Eliot’s work contributed substantially to the libretto of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical, Cats. (The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock is not in Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.)
Beautiful pose! You could have that transferred to canvas, my son took a lovely photo of Charlie, so a canvas of that is going to be a Christmas present! So glad Effie is a T.S.Eliot fan..does she like “The Wasteland”?

I was walking down the hall with the dry laundry, past my husband’s study window, which looks out on the garden, and there she was! I fetched my camera, knowing the moment would be over, but she was still there, looking up, and I took the photo through the window.

I did it for “A” levels with “Waiting for Godot”- my son did “Kite Runner”. Funny how the syllabuses change…

P.S. But of course she likes The Wasteland. She’s a prairie girl, but l’ve never told her the poem has nothing to do with the prairie. ^.^
