Huntress: Effie; Time: Near sunset; Quarry: Crickets

P1010907Cricket hunting requires keen eyesight, speed, patience, dexerity, and  motivation to eat bugs.

P1010909One may need to track her quarry in various places and from various angles.

P1010910After two kills, Effie continues to look alert and ready to track more prey.

P1010908I would prefer to focus on sainfoin moving in the breeze.

  1. Jamima caught a Geeko once. It was dragged into the kitchen and it had dropped its tail(it’s survival instinct, it grows back) before we could catch it and set it free again. Jamima kept returning to the scene of where she last saw it. She couldn’t help it. So pretty.

  2. Haha! Can’t understand the appetite for bugs myself- my cats indulge too, but apparently it helps whisker growth! At least Effie doesn’t expect you to join her- she looks so pleased with herself!
