Effie chills in the sunny, 80°F garden. I wish I could emulate her oblivion to the neighborly sounds of a gas leaf blower, gas weed eater, and numerous barking dogs.

Effie is getting her vitamin D! Much can be learnt from our furry friends.
Daily, and in all aspects of life! Thanks, Helen!
Just clicked on and saw Effie’s lovely picture! She looks so happy and relaxed!
I think she was, though always wary. Another scorcher today; right now she’s napping atop a kitchen cabinet, just below the ceiling.
Forgotten what hot weather is like, we’ve had a charming mix of rain/sleet/ cold sun…my four have given up on the great outdoors and retreated to my bed….
They just need to apprehend the hardy Brit approach to weather! I enjoyed the Dorset storms when I was there–through the window. 🙂 I had never seen a truly black–not grey, but black–sky before. With lightening–it was transfixing!
