It’s actually a very fun game Effie invented: “Who’s Got the Comb?”

Very cute kitty.
I only wish she were more clever at trying not to act like it.
Lol too cute
Sometimes she recalls her dignity and permits me to comb her like a princess. Other times she makes great sport of it. If I knew what to expect I’d wear Kevlar gloves!

LOL. This reminds me of the time Oli needed his claws clipped and his usual vet was on holiday… Mr Hawaiian shirt can clip his claws without as much as a peep. (He needs them cut every two months as they curl inwards towards his pads and that is not good ;( ) the replacement had to get protective gear after the first two attempts… I still feel sorry for her as Oli used the claws with maximum impact ;x
Yowie. But I accidentally cut one of Effie’s claws to the quick once when she yanked it away. It was bleeding and I felt so terrible, I was crying! Her forgiveness made me cry again.
Oh no :(. we don’t cut his ourselves because he goes mad and worry about that kind of thing. But it’s even happened to the vet once it’s not an easy task…
Nubia on the other hand you can file her claws with a nail file… She won’t care. Very ladylike LOL
I might resort to a file–I don’t know if I can face the clippers again!
If you can get her used to a file its much easier on the nerves and less painful as there isn’t a chance for accidental clips. I’d go for a good solid one though! Not a sandpaper style one. First one of those was chewed into half. ;o
