The wind blowing the rye and rabbitbrush nearly flat also up-ended the potted catnip from its platform. The catnip was through for the season, but also uprooted, though likely salvageable. Effie attempted to scrounge some dry sprigs, but to not much avail.
It has been a stormy week. Yesterday the air pressure dove three millibars in eight hours. The inevitable migraine obediently followed. Today was less volatile, and Effie found a fair amount to see and do as we took our backyard outing. It is wonderful to have a cat so interested in everything she sees!
