Coolidge’s new medication arrived yesterday as promised, along with our first snow of the season. I’ve applied yesterday evening’s and this morning’s doses, one to the inside of each ear, and he seems to be tolerating the formulation. No ulcers have erupted, but from the outsides of his ears, I see pink spots where hair had been. Oh well—the stuff is absorbed better without a hair barrier, and at least he has all his teeth. Not many cats his age look as good as he does.
I thought to bless my readers with a photo of a snow angel made by my granddaughter, who lives in Alaska with her brave South-born parents, as well as one of my constant model who has inspired two volumes of cat poetry, and my first blog, Mrs. B and the Cat, later Oikos mou, to which the present blog is successor. If that seems unclear, I’m having that sort of day, notwithstanding the crystalline clarity of the 16° weather.
